Virtual Field Trip to The San Diego Zoo.

Virtual field trips instantly connect students with learning opportunities they may not get to experience otherwise. And it all happens from the comfort of their home.

EIS students visited The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego, California

Zoo has over 12,000 animals of more than 650 species and subspecies on 100 acres of Balboa Park. The San Diego Zoo was a pioneer in the concept of open-air, cageless exhibits that recreate natural animal habitats.For decades, the zoo housed and successfully bred giant pandas,though the pandas were repatriated to China in 2019.

With more than 4 million visitors in 2018, San Diego Zoo is the most visited zoo in the United States. The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance (The parent organisation) also operates the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

It was a thrilling experience for EIS students to witness various animals and birds - Polar Bear, Monkeys, Penguins, Alligators, Bear, Flamingoes, Meerkat, Tiger, Lion, Elephants, Giraffe, Peacock, Snake, Koala, Alpaca, Zebras, Mongoose, and Cheetah.
