15-11-2021

Children's day celebrations at EIS are dedicated to our brave soldiers.

Every year, soldiers of the Indian Army visit EIS to celebrate Children's Day with EIS students. And EIS students give them beautiful gifts like Handmade cards, Drawings, and Crafts to thank them for protecting our nation selflessly.

Even corona pandemic lockdown could not stop us from celebrating like every year - We celebrated Children's Day virtually this year.

Various online sessions were organized where EIS students interacted with Army Personnel.

NB Sub Arjun Lal and NB Sub  Arvind Singh (Jaat Reg.) joined us from Army Rowing Node. They have represented India in Olympics Tokyo 2020 for Rowing sport. They reached the emi finals and that's a huge achievement in itself in Olympics. They spoke about various achievements and the infrastructure of Sports available with defense. Their Mantra to EIS students is IF YOUR DREAMS DON’T SCARE YOU THEY AREN’T BIG ENOUGH! A presentation was shared.

Armed forces videos were shown to students. EIS students also interacted with soldiers and Army Officers in other sessions. Col. Khuhvendra Tyagi, Nayak Mr. Varal, and Mr. Tipale enjoyed interacting with EIS students. They were glad to answer questions asked by students.

Our Principal, Dr. Uzma Zuberi, and Executive Director Mrs. Vinita Khaladkar shared their thoughts about creating awareness on the significance of defense forces among the students. The whole EIS Staff thanked the Soldiers for sparing their valuable time with us.

Various games like Scavenger Hunt and Simon Says were organized after the interaction with soldiers. Our tiny tots enjoyed the puppet show made by preschool teachers. A PPT was shown to them about Children's day and Chacha Nehru.
