Space Week

EIS just concluded celebrating the Space week.

Every year there is a mobile planetarium event in school, but this time due to Covid-19 lock down various events took place online in virtual classroom.

In class, various activities related to space like Slogan Making, Essays, Drawing/Painting, Poster making, poems, Wordwall activity of Space Vocabulary and quiz were conducted.

Teachers prepared series of power-point presentations which were focused on ;
- Constellations
- Daily Motion of Earth
- Solar System
- International Space Station
- Orbital info
- Birthday of Stars
- Space and Time

Tiny Tots from preschool also participated by making origami Rockets as a craft activity.

A video of Felix Baumgartner was shown to students.Felix Baumgartner is an Austrian skydiver, daredevil and BASE jumper. He is best known for jumping to Earth from a helium balloon from the stratosphere on 14 October 2012 and landing in New Mexico, United States as part of the Red Bull Stratos project.

It was a mesmerizing and thrilling experience for EIS students with so many space related activities powerpacked in the week.
