Investiture Ceremony 2021-22

Investiture ceremony for the newly appointed Student Council was organized in virtual mode on 17th July 2021.

EIS believes that Investiture Ceremony sets the right tone for an Academic Year to commence and is an prestigious event in every school’s calendar.

The Principal, Dr Uzma Zuberi administered the oath taking ceremony along with the Vice Principal Mrs. Archana Okhade in which the school entrusted responsibilities on young leaders to discharge their duties honestly, sincerely and to the best of their ability.

The office bearers were addressed by the Chief guest Mrs. Sarika Wagh (Director), Mrs Vinita Khaladkar (Exec. Director) and Dr Uzma Zuberi (Principal).

The Director Mrs Sarika Wagh congratulated the student council and advised the students to perform their duties with utmost dedication as it is a platform to enhance their leadership skills and set new benchmarks. She also stated that, it is an opportunity to be Role Models for other students to emulate and follow. She made students aware of the huge responsibility they have on their shoulders as school ambassadors representing EIS student community. She also spoke about how action and deeds of all students within the school and outside should reflect EIS's culture and ethos.

EIS Principal Dr Uzma Zuberi initiated her address by appreciating the students, teachers and parents for all the work they are doing in the current distance learning mode of education. She reminded the elected students that they have received this position because students thought about their ability to lead and voted for them. She further emphasized on the seven qualities or virtues of Leadership; that are Humility, Courage, Integrity, Compassion, Humour, Passion and Wisdom. She described all the qualities in detail and how are those applicable to the office bearers. She concluded the speech by discussing the challenges for this year and how student council can overcome the same by instilling the qualities that were discussed by her.

EIS Exec. Director Mrs Vinita Khaladkar also spoke to students on this occasion. She quoted Grace Lichtenstein,"Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. Don't strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt." and reiterated the active and vibrant role of the student council in supplementing the efforts of the school in achieving the mission statement.

Teachers witnessed the enthusiastic participation from the student council in the ceremony. On behalf of EIS, Mrs. Hemali Madan congratulated the Student council once again and delivered the vote of thanks.
